The rent offering is based on 80% of the median income and the rate is set by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. While the same application requirements apply of 3x rent to income, good credit, and no criminal or eviction history this program presents an opportunity to live in a high quality new build home for a more affordable rate. Demand is high for these apartments and we often run off a pre-approved wait list. Interested applicants can apply with us directly and then must go through a certification process with Chelmsford Housing Authority.
